Englebert was wonderful. Wind Creek Event Center is HORRIBLE
My low rating is because of the Wind Creek Event Center and NOT the Engelbert concert.
I have seen Engelbert in concert for many years and this was one of the worst concerts. It had nothing to do with Englebert's show...despite his age, his voice is still as good as when I began going to his concerts 50 years ago! My issue is with the Wind Creek Event Center. We were in the third row of the right wing and over half the stage was obstructed by the curtain. Apparently, there was a video being shown (since this was also a holiday show) but we couldn't see it. We didn't even know Englebert had a drummer in his band until he later introduced the band because the drummer was totally obstructed. Most venues will let you know if the seat is obstructed, however I suppose if Wind Creek did this, they'd lose a lot of money because the majority of the seats in the wings are obstructed. Fortunately, Engelbert came far enough to the front of the stage that we could see him...and his voice...fantastic! Shame on Wind Creek for selling these tickets (that were NOT inexpensive either) without disclosing the obstructions. I will NEVER go to another performance at the Wind Creek Event Center.
